Amanda’s Approach
Amanda’s Reiki Teaching is grounded, supportive, and welcoming. Drawing from both Western and Eastern Reiki traditions, she creates space for students to learn at their own pace, build confidence, and deepen their connection to the practice.
Amanda offers training in both Usui Reiki Ryoho and Komyo ReikiDo. While each tradition shares the same roots, Usui Reiki tends to be more structured in its approach, while Komyo ReikiDo emphasizes simplicity, mindfulness, and connection to Reiki’s Japanese origins. Usui Reiki Ryoho Training
REIKI LEVEL 1
During this training, you will learn the history of Usui Reiki, its guiding principles, benefits, and the basic hand positions used for treating yourself and others. Through hands-on practice and discussion, you will develop a foundation for working with Reiki for yourself and in support of others.
Participants will receive a Reiki treatment, a professional training manual, a certificate of completion, and ongoing follow-up support.
Duration: 8 Hours
Investment: $200 + HST
Private classes may also be arranged.
REIKI LEVEL 2
This training builds upon the foundations of Level 1 and introduces the Reiki symbols and their uses, meditation practices, energy field scanning and beaming techniques, and Distance Reiki. Through hands-on practice and discussion, students deepen their understanding of Reiki and expand their ability to work with energy in support of themselves and others.
Participants will receive a Reiki treatment, a professional training manual, a certificate of completion, and ongoing follow-up support.
Duration: 8 Hours
Investment: $250 + HST
Private classes may also be arranged.
MASTER PRACTITIONER - PRIVATE CLASSES ONLY
This private training is designed for students who wish to deepen their Reiki practice and integrate its principles more fully into their daily lives. Through five one-on-one classes, students explore Reiki at a deeper level, strengthening their connection to the practice through discussion, reflection, and treatment exchanges.
Participants will receive a professional training manual, a certificate of completion, and ongoing follow-up support.
Duration: Five 2-Hour Private Classes
Investment: $450 + HST
MASTER TEACHER - PRIVATE CLASSES ONLY
This private training is intended for students who feel called to share Reiki with others through teaching. Becoming a Reiki Master Teacher is both a personal and professional commitment, inviting students to deepen their relationship with Reiki while learning to guide others on their own path.
Through ten one-on-one classes, students explore the responsibilities and ethics of becoming a Reiki Master Teacher, learn three additional Reiki symbols, and receive training in the attunement process.
Participants will receive treatments, a professional training manual, a certificate of completion, and ongoing follow-up support.
Duration: Ten 2-Hour Private Classes

Komyo ReikiDo Training
Komyo ReikiDo (pronounced Koh-myoh Ray-key Doh) is a Japanese Reiki tradition founded by Inamoto Hyakuten, a Reiki teacher, researcher, and Pure Land Buddhist monk. Rooted in Reiki's Japanese origins, Komyo ReikiDo emphasizes simplicity, presence, and personal practice.
The philosophy of Komyo ReikiDo is often described as "less is more." Rather than focusing on complexity, students are encouraged to return to the essence of Reiki through mindfulness, self-development, and regular practice. Its guiding motto is simple: Place your hands, surrender, and smile.
The purpose of Komyo ReikiDo is to support the well-being of mind, body, and spirit while cultivating greater peace, awareness, and connection in everyday life. It is both a healing practice and a path of personal growth.
Amanda studied Komyo ReikiDo in Kyoto, Japan, in 2024 and is honoured to share this tradition through training and practice.

SHODEN (LEVEL 1)
This foundational training introduces students to the history and lineage of Reiki Ryoho, the philosophy of Komyo ReikiDo, and the Five Principles that guide the practice. Students will learn basic techniques for offering Reiki treatments to themselves, individuals, and groups while developing a deeper understanding of Reiki as both a healing practice and a way of life.
Participants will receive four Reiju (attunements), a professional training manual, and ongoing follow-up support.
Duration: 6 Hours
Investment: $200 + HST
CHUDEN (LEVEL 2)
This training builds upon the foundations of Shoden and introduces the three Eastern Reiki symbols, including their meanings, mantras, and practical applications. Students will explore traditional Reiki techniques, Distance Reiki, and have opportunities for guided practice to deepen their confidence and understanding.
Participants will receive four Reiju (attunements), a professional training manual, and ongoing follow-up support.
Duration: 6 Hours

OKUDEN (LEVEL 3) - PRIVATE CLASSES ONLY
This training is intended for practitioners and future teacher candidates who wish to deepen their personal practice and understanding of Reiki Ryoho. Students will be introduced to the fourth Reiki symbol, its meaning and application, while continuing to develop their skills through study, practice, and reflection.
Participants will receive two Reiju (attunements), a professional training manual, and ongoing follow-up support.
Duration: 10 Hours (Five 2-Hour Private Classes)

SHINPIDEN / TEACHER (SHIHAN) - PRIVATE CLASSES ONLY
This advanced training is intended for students who feel called to share Komyo ReikiDo through teaching. Building upon the previous levels, students review the teachings, principles, and practices of Komyo ReikiDo while learning how to offer Reiju (attunements) and guide others on their Reiki journey.
The training also explores the mission, vision, and ethical foundations of Komyo ReikiDo, supporting students in developing both confidence and integrity as teachers.
Participants will receive Reiju (an attunement), a professional training manual, and ongoing follow-up support.
Duration: 8+ Hours
