Hello and Welcome, I’m Amanda.
These days, I’m a homeschooling mother to two boys, William and Alexander. My husband built us a home in the country where we spend our days learning, growing, and sharing life with our energetic Australian Shepherd/Border Collie and nine very loved chickens, who somehow always seem to find their way into our laps for cuddles. It’s a full, intentional life, and one I feel deeply grateful for.
I’ve been practicing and teaching Reiki for over a decade. For me, Reiki began as a way of better understanding myself and has since become part of how I move through the world. It helps me slow down, regulate my nervous system, reconnect with myself, and listen more closely to my intuition. Over time, it has become less of a practice and more of a way of being.
In 2024, I had the opportunity to travel to Kyoto, Japan, where Reiki first originated. While there, I studied the eastern tradition of Komyo ReikiDo, an experience that deepened my understanding of Reiki and continues to shape the way I work today.
Alongside Reiki, I bring my background in education into my work with children and families through yoga classes, workshops, and learning experiences. I care deeply about creating spaces where children feel supported, connected, and free to explore who they are.
I’ve always been deeply sensitive to the natural world. Nature has long been a place of grounding and wonder for me. Of all the places I’ve travelled, Dalhousie Lake, Ontario still feels most like home. It’s where I spent summers as a child and where I now spend time with my own family.
At the heart of all I offer is a simple intention: to create a space where people feel safe, heard, and supported as they reconnect with themselves and move through life with greater ease.
My approach is shaped by my intuitive practice, training in both the Usui Reiki Ryoho and Komyo ReikiDo traditions of Reiki, and my background in education. Together, these experiences inform the gentle, supportive spaces I create for healing, learning, and personal growth.
Amanda is a Reiki Master Teacher and energy intuitive who works with people in a gentle, attentive way. Through Reiki, she helps clients slow down, reconnect with themselves, and find greater ease during times of stress, transition, or healing.
Her work includes one-on-one Reiki sessions, as well as teaching and certifying students in both the Usui Reiki Ryoho and Komyo ReikiDo traditions. Drawing on her background in education, Amanda also offers children's yoga classes and workshops that support confidence, mindfulness, and connection.
Amanda's approach is shaped by years of Reiki practice, teaching, and intuitive development, along with her experience as an educator. She values creating spaces where people feel supported, learn at their own pace, and reconnect with their own inner wisdom and capacity for well-being.
Amanda is a member of the Canadian Reiki Association and the Ontario College of Teachers. Outside of her work, she enjoys spending time in nature, practicing yoga, gardening, and embracing the quieter rhythms of everyday life.
